Jason Frith currently maintains an active career as a percussionist, teacher, and arranger.
His performance experience includes membership in the
University of South Carolina Drumline (1992-1996), the front ensemble of
Carolina Crown drum and bugle corps (1995), several rock bands, West African ballets, steel drum bands, and wind ensembles through the years. He is currently a member of the
Palmetto Concert Band, under the baton of Dr.
Scott Weiss.
Jason has spent the last 20 years working with numerous school percussion ensembles across North and South Carolina. He has been an instructor with the University of South Carolina Drumline (1997-2002), Swansea HS (2002-2005),
Ridge View HS (1998-2016), and Co-Director of the USC Marching Percussion Camp (2001-03, 2005-2010). He also served as front ensemble instructor and associate director of the CWEA and CIPA gold medalist Verdigris independent indoor percussion ensemble (2006-2008).
Jason is currently Director of Percussion at
Dutch Fork HS and also works with numerous middle school and high school programs around South Carolina.
Jason is an in-demand percussion arranger who has written for not quite umpteen marching bands across the country.
Jason lives in Irmo, SC with his daughters Riley Shannon, Amelia Drew, and four dogs: Rocket, Chewy, Vivian, and Col. Beauford Barlow "Buddy" Frith, Ret.
